On Sunday, Apr. 23, the High South Wedding Professionals hosted the annual wedding expo in collaboration with SAVOR Blowing Rock where a variety of wedding vendors came to showcase their services to brides from all around.

“A lot of brides came from surrounding areas,” Elizabeth Hempfling, President of High South Event Professionals, said. “It was a wonderful opportunity for brides to see what all the High Country could offer them.”

Numerous vendors were present at the event from multiple types of areas, such as catering, pastry chefs, florists, local music talents, hair and makeup artists, photo booths, venues and so much more. There were vendors there to help assist brides with any area they were interested in.

The event also took place beneath a tent that was rented through Mark Miller with Chair and Equipment Rentals. It was a gorgeous tent that provided the vendors with a sheltered area through which they could interact with the brides.

“The tent also provided the brides with a picture of a different avenue they could take for their wedding and receptions,” Hempfling said. “It was a perfect example of what a bride could expect from a large wedding and reception space in the High Country.”

The wedding expo was able to display the beauty and effectiveness of using a tent on your very own special day, while also providing brides with resources and support through a showcasing of vendors.

The money that was raised from the event goes directly to support the Back to School Festival in order to help kick off and make that event as successful as possible for the youth around the High Country.

Regardless of rain of shine, the vendors and other event professionals showed up to provide all of the brides with as much information, support and encouragement as possible to help them envision everything they’ve ever dreamed of for their wedding days.

“We came together to showcase, and we would do the same thing on a bride’s wedding day,” Hempfling said. “We all do what we can to make someone happy, and I think it displays what our area has to offer for any kind of event in this region.”
